KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has reiterated his position of endorsing the widely-debated Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) as it has no strings attached to any military affairs.

Talking to leaders of fringe parties, who had reached the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar to submit a memorandum on MCC, PM Oli said MCC has to be implemented for the country’s prosperity.

Prime Minister Oli said there was nothing to fear or suspect when it comes to the implementation of the MCC Compact as it needs to be completed within the stipulated timeframe of five years.

“I have reiterated that it is a grant, not a loan. We have a lot to accomplish,” PM Oli told the delegation of fringe political party leaders adding, “I don’t see anything wrong in implementing it.”

“We have gone through it thoroughly. There is no hidden agenda,” PM Oli said.
