Sudurpaschim Province announces public holiday on Maghe Sankranti



DHANGADI: Sudurpaschim Province government has announced a public holiday for January 15 on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.

Issuing a statement on Monday, the province Ministry for Internal Affairs and Law announced a public holiday all over the province on the occasion of the festival.

On the day, people of Hindu communities take holy dips into rivers and ponds, worship at various temples and relish delicacies like ghee, yam, khichadi and sweets like chaku and sweets made of sesame and molasses.
