Chief Minister Cup Football to begin from January 3rd week



GANDAKI: Eleven districts from Gandaki State are participating in the state-level football championship to begin from the third week of January.

Teams from all 11 districts of Gandaki are taking part in the championship, according to ANFA Kaski President Milan Gurung.

The championship to be played on league cum knock-out basis will be participated by Horizon Club (Syangja), Triveni Youth Club (Lamjung), Bhimad Youth Club (Tanahun), Adarsha Club (Kaski), Bouddha Himal Club (Gorkha), Danfe Youth Club (Manang), and Gaindakot Sports (Nawalpur) along with teams from Baglung, Parbat, Myagdi and Mustang.

The winning team will receive Rs 500,000 with a trophy, medals and letter of appreciation while the first runner-up will take home Rs 300,000.

Similarly, best goalkeeper, the best defense, best mid-fielder, best striker and the best coach will be provided with awards carrying Rs 5,000 each.

The Gandaki State has already announced extending support worth Rs 4 million to organize the Chief Minister Cup.
