NC dispute likely to thaw following heavyweights’ meet

KATHMANDU: The intra-party dispute of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is likely to thaw a little following talks between party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and the leaders of disgruntled factions.

In a meeting held between party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ram Chandra Paudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula at Budhanilkantha on Sunday evening, agreed to move ahead by resolving the ongoing disputes in the party.

According to Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, who is close to Deuba, the meeting, which lasted for about two hours, concluded with an agreement to move ahead by ironing differences seen in the party of late.

The NC has been mired in intra-party disputes for the last few months.
