17th NSJF Pulsar Award to be held on Jan 12 next year



KATHMANDU: The 17th edition of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award will be held on January 12 next year, the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum has announced.

The Forum, which has been awarding the players in various categories, made the announcement in Kathmandu on Sunday.

However, this year’s award function will be virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic, it added.

The Forum has signed a sponsorship agreement with Hansraj Hulaschand and Company to organize the event.

Meanwhile, the Forum said it would honor the player exhibiting the best performance in the South Asian Games held in Kathmandu last year.

The award will be given in 10 categories.

Winners of the Best Male player, Best Female player, People’s Choice player and Best Coach will get a Pulsar motorbike each.

Likewise, winners of other categories will receive Rs 50,000 each.
