Kathmandu Valley sees 1,207 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,207 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 919 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 108 in Bhaktapur and 180 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,111 people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 206,353 with fresh cases as of Friday afternoon.

Currently, there are 37,022 active cases of COVID-19.

A total of 3,537 individuals were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 168,129 in the country.

Likewise, 986 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 13 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,202, the Ministry confirmed.
