NEPSE index down by 9.42 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a decline of 9.42 points to reach 1,568.59 points as trading closed on Tuesday.

Similarly, the Sensitive Index fell by 1.70 points to 311.41.

A total of 6,782,947 shares of 193 companies were traded at Rs 1.81 billion.

Of the total 12 sub-indices traded today, shares of three sub-indices increased, while shares of nine declined.

Trade witnessed an increase of 1.49 percent, manufacturing by 10.84 percent, and collective investment funds by 0.05 percent.

Similarly, banking saw a decline of 7.7, hotel 10.06, development bank 8.56, hydropower 27.84, finance 16.3, non-life insurance 48.41, others 1.51, microfinance 13.63, and life insurance 38.94.
