India’s Health Minister says Covid-19 vaccine likely by early 2021



NEW DELHI: India’s Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said coronavirus vaccine may be ready by the first quarter of 2021.

He said no date has been fixed yet for the launch of the vaccine in India, Indian media reports have said.

The government is taking precautions in conducting human trials of the vaccine, Dr Vardhan said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has stated the vaccine will be made available first to those who need it the most.
