NCP Spokesperson Shrestha’s secretariat forms ‘Volunteer Team’ to assist in COVID-19 Prevention

KATHMANDU: The secretariat of Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Spokesperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has formed a ‘volunteer team’ to help in the prevention and control of the coronavirus.

Shrestha’s private secretariat said in a press release that the Covid-19 Volunteer Service (CVS) team will assist the government’s work to control the COVID-19 and help those affected by the coronavirus infection.

“The immediate need is to save human lives by focusing on the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19,” the statement said.

Shrestha’s private secretariat has informed that CVS will facilitate, coordinate and assist in the treatment and provide psycho-social counseling.

Similarly, it has been stated that it will provide emergency health counseling, coordinate and assist in the rescue and safe return of migrant workers and spread awareness about COVID-19.

The Covid-19 Volunteer Service (CVS) team formed by the secretariat has 29 members.
