Nine more succumb to COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll hits 345

KATHMANDU: A total of 9 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 345, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Sunday.

According to the Ministry, 6 men and 3 women died of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,039 people have been diagnosed positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 54,159 with the new cases, said Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, at a regular COVID-19 Update.

So far, 38,697 people have been discharged across the country after recovery. The recovery rate stands at 71.5 percent.
