Chitwan records 31 fresh coronavirus cases



CHITWAN: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 31 more people in Chitwan in tests conducted at different laboratories on Saturday night.

A total of seven people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in tests at the COVID-19 lab of Bharatpur Hospital and 24 at the Chitwan Medical College.

A test conducted in the lab of Bharatpur Hospital confirmed the infection in two women and two men of Bharatpur.

Similarly, two women each from Surkhet and Rautahat and one man from Dhanusha have also been found infected, said Dr. Nitu Adhikari.

Likewise, tests at the lab of Chitwan Medical College have confirmed the infection in five men and four women of Bharatpur and two women of Ratnanagar.

Three women and three men from Gaindakot in Nawalpur, one woman and one man each from Hopskot and Madhyabindu have also been confirmed infected.

One person each from Banke, Kathmandu, Rupandehi, Tanahun and Lamjung have also been diagnosed positive, according to a statement issued by Chitwan Medical College.
