Dhulikhel Hospital area sealed off



KAVREPALANCHOK: It has been decided to seal the Dhulikhel Hospital area of Kavrepalanchok after 10 people, including a patient, were confirmed to have coronavirus infection on Thursday.

A meeting attended by Chief District Officer Shravan Kumar Timilsina and Dhulikhel Municipality Mayor Ashok Kumar Byanju among others decided to close the hospital except for emergency services and seal off areas at a distance of 500 meters from the hospital until further notice.

It is said that discussions are underway to close Dhulikhel Bazaar as the house of the 98-year-old who was found infected today is located in the market area.

A daughter-in-law of the elderly woman, a nurse of the hospital, a patient admitted to the hospital for treatment of gall bladder, a businessman and six policemen have been confirmed to have coronavirus infection.

A contact tracing is underway as family members of the infected elderly people have been found meeting with people from the community including that of the hospital.
