Kathmandu Valley reports 127 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 127 persons have been infected from COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population, informed that 111 persons from Kathmandu, 11 from Lalitpur and 5 from Bhaktapur district have tested positive for the COVID-19.

Similarly, 525 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus across the country in the last 24 hours taking the national tally to 24,957.

Meanwhile, 16,837 have recovered across the country so far after 109 being discharged from various hospitals and isolation centers in the last 24 hours, he shared. The recovery rate now stands at 67.5 percent.

At present, 8,025 people are in isolation and 14,769 are in various quarantine facilities.

Nepal has reported four new deaths. With this, the death toll has reached 95, he said.
