RSP secures over 500,000 PR votes in Gandaki



POKHARA: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has received more than 500,000 votes under the proportional representation (PR) system in Gandaki Province.

According to Rudra Neupane, Information Officer at the Provincial Election Office Pokhara, the party also won 15 out of the total 18 constituencies across 11 districts in the province under the direct election system, while securing the highest number of proportional votes.

Neupane said the Rastriya Swatantra Party received a total of 525,635 votes in the province. The Nepali Congress secured 273,387 votes, while the CPN-UML received 152,587 votes. Similarly, the Nepali Communist Party obtained 57,876 votes.

Among other parties, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 23,556 votes, while the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party secured 18,099 votes.

Likewise, the Rastriya Janamorcha received 7,770 votes, the Rastriya Pariwartan Party got 3,226 votes, the Mangol National Organization obtained 2,855 votes, and the Gatisheel Loktantrik Party secured 2,548 votes.
