Trump admin relaxes H-1B visa ban

WASHINGTON: The Donald Trump administration has relaxed the H-1B visa restrictions that it had earlier imposed banning entry of foreign workers entering the United States.

The Trump government has decided to allow workers seeking to return to the country with H-1B visa for the same job they held before the lockdown, international media reports have said.

The US State Department said that some of the rules of H-1B visa are being relaxed that would allow non-immigrant workers wishing to return to the US for the same jobs.

The relaxation on visa ban will allow their spouses to return to the United States.

President Trump, in June, had banned the entry into the US of the workers in key non-immigrant visa categories, including the H-1B.

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise, media reports have said.
