Elderly killed after being swept away by river in Sindhupalchok



SINDHUPALCHOK: An elderly person has died today after being swept away by local Jhyadi river in the district.

The deceased has been identified as Dhawa Lama, 57, of Bhotsipa in Indrawati rural municipality-9 in Sindhupalchok district.

His body was recovered approximately one kilometer downstream, said the police.

Similarly, a search has been launched for 20 people of Jambu in Bahrabise municipality-5 and Bulkot in Bhotekoshi rural municipality-5 who have gone missing said Inspector Ram Chandra Ghimire. Rescue efforts faced difficulty due to continuous rain, he added. RSS
