KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Rajendra Lingden said India has to comply with the Sugauli Treaty.
Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives in New Baneshwor on Saturday, lawmaker Lingden said if the Indian government breaches the Sugauli Treaty, the Nepal’s territory can stretch as far as Kangda in the west and Teesta in the east.
Expressing full support for the government’s move to reclaim the encroached Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh and Kalapani, Lingden said the Nepal government should convince the Indian government that these territories belong to Nepal by presenting the historical facts.
