Coronavirus confirmed in health worker for the first time in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in a health worker for the first time in Nepal.

According to Kumar Thapa, a liaison officer at the Health Office, Kapilvastu, a 25-year-old nurse working at Taulihawa Hospital has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Thapa told Khabarhub that one of the eight people infected with the virus in Kapilvastu today is a staff nurse at the hospital.

“One of the eight people confirmed to be infected in Kapilvastu today is a staff nurse at Taulihawa Hospital,” Thapa told Khabarhub. “The Health Ministry had emailed us just an hour ago.”
