7,721 quarantined people in Rolpa return home without COVID tests

ROLPA: People who were being accommodated in different quarantines of the district have been sent to their homes without proper health tests.

As many as 7,721 people have returned home without their medical examination undertaken in lack of coronavirus testing kits.

A large number of people quarantined for 14 days have been sent home urging them to stay at self-isolation for a week.

District Public Health Office Chief Anil KC said the quarantined people have been sent to their homes after carrying out general health examination following short of RDT kits for coronavirus test. A total of 28,887people underwent a test for COVID-19 in Rolpa as of last Monday.

Meanwhile, PCR test reports of 112 people from Arghakhanchi district who returned from India have come negative, said Chief of the District Hospital, Dr Kapil Gautam.

They had been kept in quarantine at Nautanahawa for 26 days.
