Ex-Gurkha armyman dies of coronavirus in UK

LONDON: An ex-Gurkha army man has died of Coronavirus in the United Kingdom on Saturday.

Originally from Waling in Syangja district of Nepal, 86-year-old Yam Bahadur Malla died during treatment at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire, England.

Malla been living in Swindon with his son and family since 2004.

He had been admitted to the hospital four days ago after suffering from cough and diarrhea, according to Chairperson of the Chettri Society in London Rajan Kumar Chettri.
