Coronavirus-suspect flees from hospital; three hospitalized

KATHMANDU: Three suspects of coronavirus have been hospitalized at Teku-based hospital in Kathmandu.

The Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Mahendra Shrestha informed that a Chinese national and two Nepalis have been admitted at the Sukharaj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital.

They have been kept in isolation at the hospital on Wednesday, Shrestha said, adding that their blood samples have been sent for tests at the National Public Health Laboratory for confirmation.

According to him, out of a total of 20 suspects, only one has been tested positive so far.

Meanwhile, a Saudi Arabia national, who was suspected to have been infected with coronavirus and admitted at the Teku hospital, has fled from his bed.

Shrestha said a search has been initiated to bring him back.
