Court summons doctors, experts involved in Roshani’s medical examination



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has issued an order to call witnesses in the former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara’s alleged rape case.

Mahara was arrested from his official residence in Baluwatar on October 6, 2019, after Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant against him for allegedly raping Roshani Shahi, a female employee at Parliament Secretariat.

“As a continuation of the hearing on the case, the bench led by justice Amber Raj Poudel issued the order to consult with the witness including the doctor involved in the medical examination, the lab experts involved in the examination of the evidence at the incident site and the witness of the incident,” Registrar Ananda Shrestha said.
