Ncell tower set ablaze in Tanahu



TANAHUN: An unidentified group set fire to the Ncell telecommunication tower at Bhimad municipality-5 in Tanahu district last night.

According to the Area Police Office, Bhimad, all equipment such as batteries, generator, and electricity wires have been completely destroyed in the blaze.

Police Inspector Bhesraj Regmi said that the staffers at the Ncell office in Damauli had informed the police on Saturday night through SMS.

The police ascertained the blaze on Sunday morning upon the on-site visit.

According to the preliminary investigation, the fire was caused in the tower due to the short circuit in the main meter of the adjacent electricity pole.

It is yet to be ascertained as who set the tower on fire and purpose behind the act was still known, according to the police.
