NCP has responsibility to make socialism-oriented state, Prachanda says

KATHMANDU: Executive Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party has the responsibility to make a socialism-oriented state.

Chairman Prachanda, also the former Prime Minister, made such remark while welcoming Nepali Congress leader Kaushar Saha and other NC cadres in the NCP on Saturday afternoon at the NCP party headquarters in Dhumbarahi.

He said, “The debates and discussions in our party are for the journey towards socialism. The issues of our debates are economic policy, political values, (leaders’) code of conducts and establishment of systems in regard to the journey towards socialism.”

On the occasion, the NCP Chairman said that they were advancing to the new journey towards economic development for further flourishing the federal democratic republic.

“There are obviously challenges at this time. But, the communist party itself has the power to counter such problems and challenges,” he argued.

Welcoming those leaders and cadres in the NCP, he assured them of appropriate responsibilities on the basis of the new entrants’ qualification, capacity and experience.
