US COVID-19 cases cross 16.2 million

WASHINGTON: The number of COVID-19 cases has reached 16,287,589 in the United States of America after 238,661 new cases were reported in the country.

Currently, 6,505,806 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation wards across the country while 9,479,056 have recovered from the pandemic.

Similarly, the death toll linked with the coronavirus has reached 302,727 with 2,989 new deaths so far in the country, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometer.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus has killed 1,600,314 and infected 71,410,347 globally until the filing of this news.
