Deuba extends sorrow over demise of Gauchan

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended condolences on the demise of Omkar Gauchan, former Minister of State and NC leader.

Gauchan, former vice-chair of Lumbini Development Trust, died at the age of 85 while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu Wednesday.

Issuing a message of condolences today, President Deuba, also former Prime Minister, said that he was shocked over the news of Gauchan’s demise. Deuba mentioned that they will remember his contribution played in different social sectors.

On the occasion, President Deubal also extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Gauchan was elected as the Member of Parliament from Baglung-3 in the 2048 election.

Similarly, Deula also extended sorrow over the demise of Chandra Kumari Shrestha, mother of Bhojraj Shrestha. Bhojraj Shrestha is the chair of the National Democratic Disabled Association and NC Mahasamiti member.

Chandra Kumari died at the age of 92 at her home at Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality-3 Sindhupalchok district.
