Protest held in Kathmandu against China’s ‘brutal repression of Uyghurs’



KATHMANDU: A protest has been staged in Kathmandu against China’s ‘brutal repression on Uyghurs’ and detention centers in Xinjiang.

Jamiat Ulama-E-Nepal protested on Thursday demanding an end to repression of Uyghurs in Xinjiang and the lifting of China’s ban on Muslim culture, Yunus Hamur, Advisor of Jamiat Ulama-E-Nepal told Khabarhub.

He called on China to release detained Uyghurs and called on the Chinese government to stop demolishing mosques and other Muslim centers and to restore the Muslim culture.
