Kathmandu Valley sees 973 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 973 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 764 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 83 in Bhaktapur and 126 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,913 people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 204,242 with fresh cases as of Thursday afternoon.

Currently, there are 38,461 active cases of COVID-19.

A total of 2,349 individuals were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 164,592 in the country.

Likewise, 974 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 15 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,189 the Ministry confirmed.
