GORKHA: An adult female leopard has been found dead at Phinam of Gorkha municipality- 4, in Gorkha district.
Locals informed police on seeing the dead leopard. A team deployed from Division Forest Office reached the incident site and brought the dead leopard at the Forest Office today, said chief at the Forest Office, Gorkha, Ashok Kumar Shrestha.
He said that the reason behind the death of the leopard has not been ascertained, adding that it might have died in the course of fighting with another leopard.
The leopard had bruises on her body, and she might have died two days ago, added Shrestha. RSS
