PM Oli, Dahal discus cabinet reshuffle, no confidence motion against CM Shahi



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal are holding a meeting at Baluwatar.

In the meeting that started at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this morning, Prime Minister Oli and Dahal are discussing cabinet reshuffle and a no confidence motion filed against Chief Minister (CM) of Karnali Pradesh.

Lawmakers of ruling NCP filed a vote of no confidence against Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi on Saturday.

Out of 33 lawmakers in the Karnali Provincial Assembly, 18 filed a no confidence motion against Shahi, who is also the NC parliamentary party leader, at the parliamentary party office.

Similarly, Oli and Dahal are also holding a meeting on the appointment of ministers to the vacant posts of three ministries.

Besides, the heavyweights are also dwelling on the remaining works of party unification, Baluwatar sources said.
