KATHMANDU: Four more people including an octogenarian man have died from the coroanvirus in various parts of the country.

An 89-year-old man has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.

The octogenarian succumbed to the virus at 11 pm on Sunday, according to the hospital.

Originally from Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-2, the elderly, who was admitted to the hospital virus on October 9, had tested for the virus on the same day.

He was also suffering from various chronic ailments, according to Dr Nidesh Sapkota, the spokesperson for the hospital.

A 79-year-old man has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at Butwal COVID Special Hospital.

The septuagenarian man of Devdaha municipality-10 succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment at 7 am today.

The elderly had tested positive for the virus at the laboratory of Lumbini Provincial Hospital on October 6, informed focal person of the hospital Sudharshan Thapa.

He was also suffering from diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus who passed away at this this hospital has reached 30.

Similarly, a 37-year-old man has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar on Monday morning.

Originally from Barahachhetra Municipality, Sunsari, the coronavirus-infected man succumbed to the virus at 6:50 am today, informed Narayan Dahal, the manager of the hospital.

According to Dahal, he was brought to the hospital on Sunday evening after testing positive for coronavirus at the laboratory of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on Saturday.

He was suffering from kidney ailment and was undergoing dialysis.

Likewise, a woman has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan district.

A 40-year-old woman succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment on Sunday night, informed Liladhar Paudel, the information officer for the hospital.

The patient, who had been admitted to the hospital on October 1 with complaints of fever, cough and respiratory problems, had tested for coronavirus on October 5.

She was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the same day and was undergoing treatment.
