Father commits suicide; 4 including two minors left to starve



BIRGUNJ: Four people including two minors and a senior citizen have been left to starve after 30-year-old Satan Majhi committed suicide feeling helpless to feed them.

According to Dilip Pradhan, the secretary of Community Service  Center Murli, Majhi committed suicide as he felt helpless to feed his two children, wife and mother due to lockdown and prohibitory order imposed by the government.

Pradhan said Majhi was frustrated realizing he was unable to feed his aged mother, two children and his wife.

Birgunj Metropolitan City had issued prohibitory orders since August 26 which had ended all sources of earning for Majhi.

According to Majhi’s family members, Majhi drank poison on Friday morning realizing he could do nothing to help his family sustain ahead.

He was rushed to Nepal Indo-Hospital based in Birgunj where he breathed his last in the course of treatment.
