Kathmandu Valley sees 138 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley seems to have turned into a coronavirus hot-spot lately with 138 new cases reported on Wednesday.

According to Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, the Valley witnessed 138 cases in the PCR tests carried out in various laboratories in the Valley.

This is the highest single day number of cases in the capital.

Among today’s cases, 109 are from Kathmandu, 21 from Lalitpur and 8 from Bhaktapur.

On Tuesday, Kathmandu Valley had seen 134 new cases.

Meanwhile, Nepal witnessed as many as 484 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the coronavirus case tally to 24,432 so far.
