PM Oli, Prachanda hold talks at Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party’s Chairmen duo Prime Minister KP Oli and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held a talk at PM’s residence Baluwatar this evening.

Known for their serious differences in some graver issues like MCC Compact ratification, the growing dissatisfaction against the government’s performance and preparation for the Party Secretariat and Standing Committee agenda, the Chairmen duo are expected to regard the meeting as an icebreaker.

PM Oli has reiterated in the need to ratify the MCC Compact from parliament as soon as possible both in the internal meetings and public forums.

However, Prachanda, along with majority leaders in the Secretariat have been opposing the compact quite frequently.

With no sign of approval from the party secretariat, the PM has postponed the Secretariat’s meeting citing other reasons.
