Coronavirus cases in Dailekh reach 434

DAILEKH: With 38 new cases of COVID-19 in Dailekh, the number of cases in Dailekh has reached 434.

According to Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tiwari, the Health Department head of Social Development Ministry of Karnali Province, in the test conducted in Avian Laboratory Surkhet 38 people including 28 of Dullu, 7 of Bhairabi and 3 of Thatikaadh Rural Municipality tested positive in their PCR test.

With this, all 11 local levels of Dailekh have got the coronavirus cases.

Out of 434 infection cases in the district, there have been 194 cases in Narayan, 67 in Dullu, 1 in Chamunda Bindrasaini and 2 in Aathbis Municipality.

Similarly, there have been 67 cases from Dungeswor, 108 from Mahabu, 9 from Bhairabi, 2 from Gurans, 9 from Bhagawati Mai, 10 from Naumule and 3 from Thatikandh Rural Municipality.

Coronavirus pandemic in the second phase in Dailekh.

The coronavirus transmission has entered the second phase in Dailekh. In the first phase, it was confined to the people who returned from the countries outside.

According to the District Health Service Office, Dailekh is now transmitted to the locals now.

According to COVID-19 focal person Thir Prasad Regmi, the PCR test has shown that there has been 2 coronavirus case in the health-workers in Dailekh now.”

“Among the coronavirus positive there are the health-workers as well,” he said, “a local with no travel history outside has also tested positive.”

Including the first COVID-19 case of the province 27, have returned home after recovery in Dailekh. One youth of Dullu Municipality has lost life due to coronavirus.
