Minister Gyawali holds telephone talks with British, Canadian counterparts



KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali has held separate telephone conservations with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Canada François-Philippe Champagne and Minister of State for the Commonwealth and United Nations at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Britain Lord Ahmad.

The meeting among the three ministers focused on the status of the COVID-19 and the steps taken by their respective government to tackle the deadly virus.

In the meeting the ministers stressed cooperation among the countries in such a difficult situation to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, said a source at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The Canadian and British ministers also expressed their readiness to assist and ensure the security of the Nepali people staying in the United Kingdom and Canada.
