Truck driver missing in flooded sewerage found dead in Lalitpur



BHAKTAPUR: A truck driver who went missing after being swept away by the flooded sewerage at Chundevi of Bhaktapur municipality-1 has been found dead in Lalitpur.

The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Nar Bahadur Raut of Sindhuli ranichuri.

His dead body was found at Bhujel of Bagmati rural municipality-1 on Thursday.

A joint team of security personnel from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army searched Raut along the Hanumante River as soon as he went missing in the flooded sewerage.

Locals on Thursday informed the police after they saw Raut’s body.

His body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem, said DSP Deepak Giri of Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.
