Nepal Media Society objects to Press Council Nepal’s report

KATHMANDU:  Nepal Media Society has taken a strong exception to Press Council Nepal’s recent report on the credibility study and survey of the media of Nepal.

Issuing a press release, Shubha Shankar Kandel, chairman of the Media Society Nepal, demanded that the survey report should be scrapped and that the Press Council Nepal should admit its mistake.

“This report is full of misinformation and ill-intent. This report should be cancelled immediately and the Press Council Nepal should admit its wrongdoing as it has played down the Nepali media,” reads the statement.

The survey report which was made public during the coronavirus pandemic is ill-intentional, unscientific, and ridiculous, Nepal Media Society said.

Press Council Nepal had on May 29 issued the report on the credibility study and survey on the media of Nepal.
