Social distancing measures being set up at TIA

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) is making changes to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to implement social distancing.

The check-in counter area of the domestic terminal has been changed so that passengers could maintain social distancing as they queue for boarding pass.

Along with the social distance, CAAN is making arrangements for the passengers to undergo mandatory health check-ups as well as sanitizers.

Nepal has currently suspended domestic and international flights until May 15.

Passenger evacuation flights, freighter flights, rescue flights, and other emergency flights can be operated during the period.
