Dhaulagiri Hospital gets three ventilators

BAGLUNG: Dhaulagiri Hospital Baglung has finally received three ventilators necessary for the treatment of people infected with the coronavirus. The Ministry of Health and Population had sent the medical equipment.

After two persons from the district were found infected with COVID-19, the district has been considered a high-risk zone.

The Hospital informed that the COVID-19 patients were currently receiving treatment at isolation beds. The federal ministry sent two ventilators and Gandaki State’s Ministry of Social Development one to the Hospital.

If the COVID-19 patients feel a problem in breathing, they must be supported with ventilators. But until now, there was no such facility. A senior lab technician at the Department of Health Service, Dhana Prasad Poudel, handed over the ventilators to the Dhaulagiri Hospital on behalf of the federal ministry, said Shaligram Sharma, member of the Hospital Development Committee.
