France register 987 deaths in 24 hrs to reach 13, 197

KATHMANDU: The death toll in France has reached 13, 197 after 987 people died in a single day.

With 7, 120 new cases, the number of infection cases has climbed to 124, 869 so far, according to Worldometer.

Currently, 86,740 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 7, 004 are critical. Meanwhile, 24, 932 have returned home after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world as of Saturday morning.
