NC draws govt’s attention to ban on imports of refined palm oil

KATHMANDU: Main opposition Nepali Congress has drawn the attention of the government to an Indian ban on the imports of refined palm oil from Nepal, asking it to initiate diplomatic measures for an alternative.

Investments of industrialists and jobs have been put at risk following the ban, read a statement issued by Bal Krishna Khand, chief whip of the NC Parliamentary Party on Saturday, adding that in this regard, the government could export refined palm oil to other countries. Refined palm oil is the main export from Nepal.
