Lumbini municipality establishes sisterly relations with Catheres town of Spain



BUTWAL: Lumbini municipality of Rupandehi district has set up sisterly relations with Caceres town of Spain, which is also listed in World Heritage.

At a program organized on the premises of Mayadevi Temple, Mayor of Lumbini municipality, Manmohan Chaudhary and Caceres municipality chief Luis Salaya Julian signed the agreement on the establishment of relations.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Tourism and Culture Minister of Extremadura region of Spain, Nuria Flores Redondo, and Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of State-5, Leela Giri.

On the occasion, Minister Giri said the establishment of sisterly relations would be held to strengthen bilateral relations ties between Nepal and Spain.

Such agreement made at a time the country has been observing the Visit Year bears significance, she added.
