Five nabbed from Swoyambhu with rhino horn



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five people with a rhino horn from Swoyambhu in Kathmandu.

A team from the Metropolitan Crime Division arrested five persons from Kimdole of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15 on Thursday.

The arrested have been identified as Rikesh Shakya, 41, Suresh Shakya, 35, and Anil Shrestha, 39, of Kathmandu and Ram Singh Tamang, 26, and Muna Tamang, 22, of Meghang Rural Municiaplity-6 in Nuwakot.

According to the police, they have been sent to the District Forest Office, Hattisar for necessary investigation under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act-2029 BS.
