US COVID-19 death toll nearing 300,000



WASHINGTON: The number of COVID-19 cases has reached 16,022,542 in the United States of America after 200,928 new cases were reported in the country.

Currently, 6,394,259 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation wards across the country while 9,328,690 have recovered from the pandemic.

Similarly, the death toll linked with the coronavirus has reached 299,593 with 2,874 new deaths so far in the country, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometer.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus has killed 1,587,437 and infected 70,678,680 globally until the filing of this news.
