Province 2 sees 46 new cases of COVID-19; over 101 discharged today

JANAKPURDHAM: Province 2 has reported 46 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.

According to the Health Directorate of Province 2, the province witnessed 13 COVID-19 cases in Siraha, 12 in Dhanusha, four each in Mahottari, Saptari and Parsa, three each in Saptari and Bara, two in Rautahat and one in the person outside the province in last 24 hours.

Similarly, the province got 101 discharged after recovery on Wednesday.

According to Bipin Kumar Yadav, the Public Health Officer of the Province Health Directorate, the number of coronavirus positive cases discharged after recovery has reached 15,049 till now.

According to Yadav, there are 980 active cases of coronavirus in the province out of which 902 are in home isolation and eight in hospitals.

Province 2 saw two more COVID-19 related deaths today. As many as 183 people have lost their lives from coronavirus in this province till date.
