Prime Minister Oli monitors Kimathanka transit and Arun Third Project



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today monitored the Arun Third Hydroelectricity Project today.

The 900-Megawattcapacity project is under construction at Phyaksinda, Makalu rural municipality-5 in Sankhuwasabha district.

On the occasion, the Project Chief briefed PM Oli that 40 per cent of work of the project has been completed so far.

Prime Minister Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had jointly inaugurated the project on May 11, 2018.

Prior to this, PM Oli had also monitored the progress of development of the road infrastructure at Kimathanka which adjoins China.

The PM is accompanied by the Federal Minister, the Chief Minister of Province no 1, lawmakers and people’s representatives as well as the Project Chief.
