5 die in accidents in Dang, Ramechhap and Bara



KATHMANDU: Five persons have lost their lives in various accidents that took place in the country since last night.

According to District Police Office Dang, three persons on a motorbike (Na 6 Kha 3344) died when a truck (Ra 5 Pa 6733) hit them at Rapti-4, Maurighat last evening.

Police said three persons, including Manoj Gaha, 16, who were badly injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at the Lamahi Hospital Dang this morning. The police is searching the absconding truck driver.

Similarly, Pradeep Karki, 32, the driver of a jeep (State 3-01-006 Kha 320) fell some 60 meters off the road at Manthali-1, Eklebar, Ramechhap on Wednesday morning.

According to the police, Karki, who was badly injured and rushed to Manthali-based Tamakoshi Hospital died while undergoing treatment.

Likewise, a woman died when a vehicle hit her on the road in Jitpur Simara-1, Bara this afternoon.

Bara Police said the police is trying to establish the identity of the deceased and the vehicle.
