Man arrested for raping 7-year-old in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl in Kathmandu’s Gothatar.

The Metropolitan Police Sector, Kandaghari had received a complaint about the incident on Tuesday.

The office then deployed a team and arrested Chakre Tamang, 52, a resident of Dhading, police said.

According to the police, the victim has been sent to Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital for a medical test.

Tamang had enticed the girl into coming to his residence.

Further investigation is underway, police said.
