Kathmandu Valley sees 1,261 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,261 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 976 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 81 in Bhaktapur and 204 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,569 people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 2,02,329 with fresh cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 1,666 individuals were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 162243 in the country.

Nepal currently has 38,912 active cases.

Likewise, 1,109 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 26 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,174, the Ministry confirmed.
